The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Technical Committe on Intelligent Transport Systems decided to run this workshop in order to provide an overview on what Intelligent Transport Systems are, to present European research activities on ITS and to present the current standardization work.

The FP7UK National Contact Point service is organizing a workshop on the new research area of ICT for Governance and Policy Modelling (objective 7.3 of FP7 ICT Work Programme 2009-10). The participants will have the possibility to meet others who have interest in this field, learn about the selection and proposal process, be able to asses the relevance of this European research funding opportunity to their own needs.

The European Commission's Information Society and Media Directorate-General organises, in cooperation with the Hungarian National Office for Research and Technology, this FP7 ICT Proposers Day. Full information on the research challenges and objectives of the new ICT Work Programme for 2009-2010 will be given. The event will also help researchers, interested in the upcoming calls for proposals of the FP7 ICT Theme, to find potential partners. Registration is still open and free of charge.
